Clarity AI Supports Amper in Enhancing Sustainability Practices through ESG Risk Scoring
As part of its sustainability-linked bond issuance, Amper leverages Clarity AI’s ESG Risk Scoring tool to assess and benchmark its performance in key ESG areas
Madrid, December 23, 2024 – Clarity AI, the leading global sustainability tech company, has supported Amper, the Spanish company specializing in Defence, Security and Communications, as well as Energy and Sustainability solutions, through its ESG Risk Scoring tool in the successful issuance of a sustainability-linked fixed income bond programme, raising a total of €42.7 million up to the present date.
With this tool, Amper has been able to assess and improve its sustainability performance while demonstrating its best practices across all three ESG dimensions to potential investors.
Amper’s bond issuance is aligned with the Sustainability-Linked Bond Principles (SLBP), a set of guidelines established by the International Capital Markets Association (ICMA). In this initial issuance of Amper bonds on the MARF (Spanish Alternative Fixed-Income Market), JB Capital Markets, Ever Capital Investments, Renta 4 Banco, Auriga Global Investors and Kutxa Bank Investment acted as underwriters, with Renta 4 also serving as Amper’s advisor.
During this process, Amper leveraged Clarity AI to evaluate its performance in key ESG areas, and benchmark it against industry standards. Clarity AI’s ESG Risk Scoring tool provides a risk score based on advanced analytics, offering companies a clear and precise view of their sustainability performance. This analysis is especially valuable for medium-sized companies looking to improve their sustainability profiles and connect with responsible investors. As of December 2024, Amper achieved an ESG risk score of 73 out of 100 (All Companies ESG Risk profile), above the average of its peer group. This score reflects Amper’s strong sustainability practices, with particularly high marks in environmental management (93/100) and solid performance in social factors (73/100).
Clarity AI’s methodology is grounded in globally recognized frameworks, such as SASB, GRI, and SFDR, ensuring a thorough and objective assessment of sustainability practices. As a result, Amper receives an impartial score that highlights both its strengths and areas for improvement.
