SDR: How Can the UK Build an Effective Regulatory Framework?

Published: January 19, 2023
Modified: April 29, 2025
Key Takeaways

The consultation opened by the FCA late in 2022 presents the UK with a unique opportunity to build a robust regulatory framework. The goal: to empower consumers, minimize greenwashing and promote sustainable finance. The Sustainability Disclosure Requirements (SDR) will mandate the information that sustainable funds will have to disclose in the UK, similar to what SFDR is already doing in the European Union. Additionally, the package of measures outlined by the FCA includes three labels to represent different types of sustainability: ESG Focus, ESG Improvers, and ESG Impact. All stakeholders are welcome to submit their feedback by January 25th.

Watch this webinar to:

  • Learn from industry experts as to the market expectations on this new regulation.
  • Understand the main differences with the SFDR, and identify some of the lessons learnt which the FCA should take into consideration.
