Clarity AI endorses the Japanese Financial Services Agency’s (JFSA) Code of Conduct for ESG Evaluation and Data Providers

Clarity AI is closely monitoring the latest regulatory initiatives related to the regulation of ESG data and rating providers and is supportive of the general direction of these initiatives. We have observed in most of the cases, a strong inclination towards echoing IOSCO’s 2021 Recommendations for ESG Ratings and Data Product Providers. Also, many of the tenets of those recommendations – transparency (both of methodology and data), good governance and avoidance of conflicts of interest – are essential aspects of Clarity AI’s technology-driven approach to doing business and providing solutions to its clients. In support of these initiatives, Clarity AI would like to announce its general endorsement of the Japanese Financial Services Agency’s Code of Conduct for ESG Evaluation and Data Providers and plan to release in due course a comprehensive summary of our adherence to the Code.
